• Construction Worker

You’ll pour and finish concrete for construction projects. Perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including setting forms, and tying rebar. Workers need physical strength and endurance. If you are hardworking, dependable, able to follow safety rules and work with a positive attitude, this job is for you. Once you prove yourself, you can move up to higher pay and more responsibility as a skilled laborer.

You will work with hand tools, power tools, skid-steers and telehandlers. You’ll need a team-player attitude and good interpersonal skills.

Since much of the concrete finishing is done outdoors, working conditions are governed by the weather. Concrete is not usually placed in rain or when temperatures are below freezing. However, the work either indoors or outdoors, may be in areas that are muddy, dusty, and dirty. The work requires continuous physical effort.

Applicants should have pride in craftsmanship and be able to work without close supervision. Skills can be acquired through “on-the-job” training.

Most tools are provided; however, you will need a tool belt, hammer, small triangle square, tape measure, rubber boots, gloves. Proper clothing includes long pants and work boots.

Reliable transportation is necessary to get to the job sites.
