Maintenance Technician

DSNWK's Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing the general maintenance of DSNWK properties to ensure an attractive and safe environment for staff and persons served. These locations may include th developmental center, residential locations, and office areas. Essential duties include obtaining estimates, purchasing supplies and equipment, and building and maintaining Assistive Technology. The ideal Candidate should possess skills related to welding, painting, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler systems, appliance maintenance, and various carpentry tasks. The ability to review and track work orders daily, keep current records of work completed using an electronic device and report paperwork and receipts to Facilities Services Manager weekly. The Maintenance Technician also keeps the Facilities Services Manager informed of facility conditions, potential problems, work completed, and work pending. Valid Driver's License Required.

Experience - Five years experience with general maintenance preferred.

Extent of physical effort required - Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb a ladder, twist, stoop, and do repetitive movements. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted.
