    About Us

    Norton County Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital and Level IV trauma center, and along with the Norton Medical Clinic, provides medical services for residents in Norton County and surrounding northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska communities. We have 120 dedicated and skilled employees to assist our medical providers in all levels of inpatient care, a full range of outpatient ancillary services and several visiting physician specialty clinics. Our mission is to meet the evolving health care needs of our region and provide an exceptional staff and patient experience to empower health and wellness at any stage of life.

    School sports physicals are provided at no cost by our medical staff.

    We have on average 1,800 emergency visits each year.
    Our nurse practitioner talks with a patient in the medical clinic.
    Our nursing staff is ready to greet you with a smile and provide you with excellent care.
    We have a nurse anesthetist on staff who assists with various surgeries and procedures.
    The Laundry department processes approximately 70,000-90,000 pounds of linen yearly.
    Our communications director accepts a state award for the foundation's annual report.
    Many classes are provided to the community, such as this taping class for local teachers and coaches.
    Cardiac rehab helps patients after heart problems or surgery.
    Labor and Delivery is one of the hospital's departments, and nurses are constantly training.
