The Norton Theatre is a twin movie theatre showing premier and non-premier movies 6 days a week. The Theatre is staffed with volunteers under the direction of a manager and assistant manager.
The original Norton Theatre opened in 1948. Today much of the building is the same, including the iconic front marquee. The movie screens and interior were renovated in 1992 and more recently more interior upgrades were made including 3-D screens and digital surround sound.
As a non-profit, donations are always accepted and appreciated..
Sept. 2017: Traveling Kansas is a local production from Smoky Hills Public Television that highlights communities, people and attractions across the state. This episode explores the past and present with a spotlight on the restoration of several historic buildings in Norton and the economic development efforts throughout the county.
